Why this label
The statement is a company account of its own probeS2. The same statement says investigators found payments to intermediaries and could not determine the ultimate recipients, at a time when ISIS controlled some routes. No court or regulator record read for this review finds that payments reached ISIS, and none clears the company. DOJ found Ericsson breached its DPA partly by failing to disclose evidence and allegations about IraqS1. That finding concerns disclosure, not terrorist financing. US suits under the Anti-Terrorism Act allege protection payments to terrorist groups. Ericsson's March 2026 annual report says briefing on the motions to dismiss the first suit is complete and a ruling is pending, and a later suit is stayedS6S4. No ruling was found as of October 2026. The record does not permit a conclusion either way.
Current procedural position
Allegation in civil suits. In Schmitz v. Ericsson Inc. (D.D.C., No. 1:22-cv-02317) a ruling on motions to dismiss was pending as of March 2026S4S6. A suit filed in February 2024 is stayed and Wilson v. Ericsson Inc. was filed on 12 November 2025S6S4. No ruling found as of October 2026.
