Why this label
The 2017 release describes a Swedish case still open as to individuals and a possible claim against the companyS3. That was accurate at the time. The SEC order allowed an offset of up to US$208.5 million for Swedish or Dutch disgorgement, per TeliaS3. On 15 February 2019 the Stockholm District Court dismissed the forfeiture claim of USD 208,500,000 against TeliaS5. The Dutch prosecutor said on 19 March 2019 that the settlement set a deadline for Swedish confiscation and that the reserved sum had been paid to the NetherlandsS8. The acquittals were upheld on appealS6S7. No record read states whether the forfeiture claim was pursued on appeal. The money it covered has been paid to the Dutch authority, so the position described in 2017 has changed.
Current procedural position
