Why this label

The report quotes Treasury's stated period and grounds and says the restriction was published on Treasury's database of restricted suppliersS5. A July 2025 report gives the same end date of 4 September 2032S4. Bloomberg reported in February 2025 that Bain was asking a court to set the decision aside and to declare the procurement law unconstitutionalS3. A search in October 2026 found no ruling on that challenge, so the restriction stands as published. The restriction is an administrative decision by Treasury, not a court finding of corruption. We did not read the Treasury register entry itself, so the record rests on consistent press reports.

Current procedural position

Restriction published by National Treasury in September 2022, running to 4 September 2032S5. Bain's High Court challenge reported as unresolved on 30 July 2025S4. No ruling found as of October 2026.
