Why this label

The DOJ release states the US$547 million total, the deferred prosecution agreement with Credit Suisse Group AG and the guilty plea by Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) to a one count information charging conspiracy to commit wire fraudS1. It gives docket numbers 21-CR-520 and 21-CR-521 in the Eastern District of New York and lists parallel SEC and FCA resolutions. A DPA is not a conviction of the parent. The plea by the UK unit is an admission in court. UBS says the DOJ extended the three-year DPA to January 2026S4. The English judgment confirms the loans to ProIndicus, EMATUM and MAMS2.

Current procedural position

Guilty plea by Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited and DPA with Credit Suisse Group AG, announced 19 October 2021S1. DPA term extended by the DOJ to January 2026, per UBSS4. UBS's report for the quarter to 30 June 2026 no longer lists the DPAS5. We found no DOJ record of the DPA's formal end as of October 2026.
